Prince of Wales Alumni Association New Jersey

The Prince of Wales Alumni Association, New Jersey Chapter, was founded in 1994. It is the second oldest alumni association in the USA. Over the intervening years, it has been an integral member of the Prince of Wales Alumni Associations and helped establish the Prince of Wales Global Leadership Council.

Its first President was Henry Shyllon, who shepherded it for the first 6-7 years, before relocating to Georgia. Melbourne Garber took over the leadership of the Association after Henry’s departure and continues to play an active role in the leadership of the Association.

While the Association has been somewhat dormant in its activities over the last decade, strident efforts are being made by Princewaleans in the region to reconstitute and reinvigorate the chapter, so it can once again be an integral and participating chapter within the Prince of Wales Alumni chapter families.

Surprisingly we currently have a membership of about 30 alumni members, and we are looking to restart local activities once the centenary celebrations are over.
